OK, i think could be fun. a no holds barred, crap flinging, all out versus thread. do you hate something about Blu-Ray? well post about it in here. have a big issue with HD-DVD? well, you're in the right place to crap all over them too.

to get the ball rolling here, one thing that really ticks me off about this stupid war is the fact that all studios should be neutral and not be on a single side. the consumer SHOULD be the one who decides who wins and who loses. instead we have "potential" payoffs and what not which makes all consumers completely confused. "what if I choose the wrong one?" is a question I hear many times while browsing at stores like Best Buy. then you hear reports of certain stores not treating both formats equally. if all studios followed Warner in releasing on both formats this "war" may have already been done.
now we can look at video game consoles and see that we don't have a single player there and that is fine. its been that way for many years now. but do you think that movie buyers will be ok with having to own multiple players like we do for our video games in order to have the ability to watch whatever they want? only time will tell...
luckily I am a format neutral consumer in that I own a Toshiba HD-XA1 and a Playstation 3 to cover both formats. I just can't see being denied access to certain movies because I don't have the proper player to view them.
