It seems many people have forgotten how to do it so here is a quick refresher:
1) Look throughout the forum and find a topic you like. If you find a topic proceed to add a reply after reading it. (if you find a topic you like proceed to step 2 at this point) If you cannot find a topic to your suiting you can create your own (see step 1a. below for tips)
a) you click on the button "New Topic" and enter your topic title in the space provided (Subject) and then enter what you want to say below that also in the space provided.
b) check for correct grammar and so on
c) click "Post" and you are done.
d) sit back and bask in the glory of your newly created topic.
2) You can add a reply by 2 means.
a) if you have the quick reply box enabled on your profile you will just enter in your text in that box and click submit. (to turn on quick reply follow steps below)
1) click on "User CP" at the top of the forum
2) select "Look and Layout Options" from there
3) in the spot that says "Use quick reply on topic display" make sure "show on by default" is selected from the drop down
4) click "change profile"
b) if you do not have quick reply enabled and you don't want to turn it on you can click the button "Reply" which will take you to the reply box.
c) enter in your reply and click "Post" and you are done.
And there you have it. A simple but effective method of how to participate on the forum. We hope that this gives everyone a better understanding of how things work.
